Simulation of printer nozzle for 3D printing TNT/HMX based melt-cast explosive

چکیده
Fused deposition modeling (FDM) as one of the additive manufacturing (AM) technologies has been widely used in various industries to fabricate products with complex structures; however, application FDM energetic materials (EMs) was still less common. In this work, effect HMX solid content and particle size on viscosity molten TNT/HMX explosives were investigated. Then, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) discrete element method (DEM) simulate influence viscosity, pressure, temperature, nozzle diameter, particles flow inside 3D printer nozzle. addition, an prepare TNT/HMX-based explosives, characterization methods applied explore structure morphology printed samples. This work provided guidelines for technology EMs proved that more suitable than conventional melt-casting high special-shaped structures.
